Local Acupuncturist Arrested in Relation to Two Sexual Assaults
Hamilton Police believe there may be more victims after a Hamilton acupuncturist was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault from two unrelated victims.
A 63-year-old Hamilton doctor was arrested for two counts of Sexual Assault in relation to two separate incidents that took place while he was practicing at an Acupuncture clinic located in East Hamilton.
The incidents occurred between October 2017 and January 2019. The female victims age 24 and 67 years attended Dr. Chanpheng Anousaya’s (AKA Dr. Chan) place of business for treatment and subsequently contacted police to report being sexually assaulted during treatment.
The College of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture have been notified of these incidents and are conducting their own investigation.

Dr. Chanpheng Anousaya has been released from custody with conditions.
