On Tuesday, April 16, 2019, shortly after 4:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the Good Life Fitness Gym located at 1070 Stone Church Road East for a report of a theft. Staff at the facility was approached by gym members who advised their locker had been broken into and items were stolen. Through investigation, police learned the witness entered the change room where he observed the suspect attempting to gain entry into a locker. He was stopped and held until police arrived. Police arrested the suspect and a search of the male revealed he was in possession of stolen identification including credit cards not related to the current incident. The suspect had also turned over to staff items he obtained from a locker in this incident.

The male is currently bound by a court order and was taken into police custody. He is scheduled to appear in court today, at the John Sopinka Courthouse for a bail hearing.
