Pedestrian Fatally Struck in Ancaster

Police looking to identify a male fatally struck overnight in the area of Highway 2 (Wilson Street West) and Alberton Road in Ancaster.

On May 22, 2019, shortly before 12:20 a.m., police responded to a single motor vehicle collision in which a pedestrian was struck on Highway 2 between Trinity Road South and Alberton Road in Ancaster.

A 2016 Chevrolet van was travelling westbound on Highway 2 when a pedestrian walking on the highway was struck.

The driver of the van remained at the scene and a passerby stopped to render first aid until Paramedics arrived. The pedestrian was fatally injured and the police are looking to identify him. The male is white between the ages of 50 and 65-years of age.
