Pedestrian Hit by Car Suffers Serious Injuries

Police continue to investigate a serious motor vehicle collision in the area of King Street East just west of Ottawa Street South in Hamilton.

On Wednesday, August 21, 2019, shortly before 6 p.m., a 21-year-old Hamilton man was attempting to cross the road from the south sidewalk when he was struck by a 2010 Jeep that was travelling westbound by a 45-year-old Hamilton woman.

The pedestrian suffered a serious head injury and was transported to the hospital where he remains in critical condition. The woman was not injured during the collision and cooperating with the investigation.

At this time, speed and impairment are not believed to be factors to the collision.
