Police Investigate Collision Involving Pedestrian Fatality

Hamilton Police continue to investigate a collision involving a pedestrian and a motor vehicle. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Collision Reconstruction Unit.

On Tuesday, April 7, 2020, shortly after 9:00 p.m., Hamilton Police received reports of a collision involving a pedestrian and motor vehicle at the intersection of King Street East and James Street North. Upon arrival, officers immediately secured the scene and gathered witnesses. The pedestrian, a woman in her 60’s was transported to the hospital where she later succumbed to her injuries. The driver of the motor vehicle involved remained at the scene and is cooperating with police.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit has taken over the investigation.

At this time police are not releasing the identity of the pedestrian.
