Police Stop Another Stunt Driver on the Red Hill Valley Parkway

Hamilton Police continue to focus efforts on Speed Enforcement in an order to make our streets safer for all. Extreme cases of Speeding fall under the offence of Stunt Driving which denotes speeding 50 km/hr or more above the posted speed limit. A zero tolerance approach has been taken by Hamilton Police for this offence.

On Saturday, March 31, 2018, shortly before 4:00a.m., police were conducting speed enforcement on the Red Hill Valley Parkway at Greenhill Avenue, Hamilton. A white 2014 Dodge Ram pickup truck was observed travelling northbound on the Parkway at a high rate of speed. Investigation revealed the vehicle was allegedly travelling 177km/hr in a 90 km/hr.

The vehicle has been impounded for seven days. The driver, a 29-year-old Hamilton man has received an automatic seven day driver’s licence suspension and is scheduled for a court appearance on April 25, 2018 to answer to the charges of:

  • Stunt Driving
  • Speeding – 177km/hr in a 90km/hr
