Constable Jeff Turnbull, a 14-year member of the Hamilton Police Service, has been charged by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU) with sexual assault.

The charge is in relation to an incident in 2022.

The officer has been suspended and will appear in a Hamilton court on July 6, 2023.

The matter is now before the courts. Out of respect for the court process, Hamilton Police Service will not be providing further comment.
