Update - Fail to Remain Driver Arrested

On September 5, 2018, Hamilton Police investigated a motor vehicle collision that occurred at King Street West and Hess Street North, Hamilton. A 33-year-old Hamilton male was struck by a Mini Cooper sedan. The driver stopped his vehicle but left the area on foot. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital and remains in stable but serious condition.

Hamilton Police have continued the investigation and a warrant for arrest was issued for the driver.

On Monday, October 1, 2018, shortly after 3:00 a.m., police located the driver of the Mini Cooper in a central Hamilton residence. A search warrant was executed on the residence and after 5:00 a.m., the driver was arrested without incident.

The pedestrian continues to receive medical treatment and remains in stable but serious condition.
