UPDATE – Hamilton Police Seek Dash Camera Footage in LINC Fatal Collision

Hamilton Police continue to investigate the fatal motor vehicle collision on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway on August 26. We are reaching out to the community to seek dash camera footage from motorists who may have been in the area.

On Saturday, August 26, 2023, shortly before 9:00 a.m., a black two door BMW was traveling westbound on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway near the Upper James Street overpass in Hamilton when it lost control, crossed the center median and struck an eastbound Ford four door SUV sending a woman to hospital.

If you were traveling on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway on Saturday, August 26, 2023 between 8:35 a.m. and 8:45 a.m. in any capacity we ask that you check your dash camera footage for any relevant information including:

Vehicle Descriptions:

-          Look for any vehicles matching the description of those involved in the incident.

License Plates:

-          Check for any visible license plate numbers, especially if you were behind or alongside the vehicles in question.

Suspicious Activity:

-          Note any suspicious behavior, such as unusual driving behaviour.

Road Conditions:

-          Record road and weather conditions, as this information can be crucial in reconstructing the incident.

How to Submit Your Dash Camera Footage:

To assist us in our investigation, please follow these steps:

-      Examine your dash camera footage to identify any relevant information.

-      Isolate the relevant portion of your footage that pertains to the incident. Include any clear images of vehicles, license plates, and the surrounding area.

-      Save the clipped footage as a separate file on your computer or device.

Investigators continue to look at identifying a dark coloured Infiniti that was westbound on the Lincoln Alexander Parkway at the time of the collision. The operator of this Infiniti could have vital information in relation to this fatal collision and is asked to come forward to police.
