FdCdKkvWQAAN-iW

The Hamilton Police Service has now opened registration for this fall’s  Citizens’ Police College. The popular program will host classes on a variety of policing topics.

Hamilton Police was one of the first police services in Ontario to offer this type of program to its community members. Thousands of citizens have participated since Citizens’ Police College opened its doors in 1997.

Classes start Wednesday, October 12, 2021, 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., and will run every Wednesday for six consecutive weeks. We will host weekly interactive presentations. Students will also be given access to educational videos highlighting several specialized units within our service such as Traffic Safety, Drugs & Vice, Forensics, Victim Services and Homicide.

Citizens’ Police College is designed for individuals interested in learning about policing. Enrolment is free, but class sizes for this program are limited. Registration is on a first to register basis.

The program is offered to individuals 18-years-of-age or older who reside in Hamilton or are engaged in full-time studies within our City.

The course will be hosted by members of the Crime Prevention Branch.
