Flamborough Man Arrested for Pointing a Firearm

Hamilton Police have arrested a Flamborough man after he was seen pointing a firearm at another motorist. Further investigation revealed the male was also in possession of illicit drugs and paraphernalia. The male was in attendance at the John Sopinka Courthouse on Thursday, September 20, 2018, to answer to several criminal charges.

On Wednesday, September 19, 2018, shortly before 7:30 p.m. a citizen was travelling westbound on Rymal Road East, approaching Fletcher Road, Ancaster when he observed a black Acura TL travelling in the same direction. He then noticed the driver of the Acura extend his arm out of the window, waving it at another vehicle on the roadway. The citizen contacted police, who in turn searched the area and located the Acura near the intersection of Rymal Road East and Upper Gage. The driver was arrested without incident and further investigation revealed he was in possession of illicit drugs and paraphernalia that included; Alprazolam, Crack Cocaine and Cocaine.

The handgun used earlier in the incident was located and determined to be an imitation Glock 40 calibre.

Sahil attended court on Thursday, September 20, 2018, to answer to the charges.
