Hamilton Police continue to investigate an assault that occurred today in the midafternoon. Witnesses are asked to contact police at 905-546-2963.

On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, shortly before 3:30 p.m. Hamilton police responded to the area of 45 Ellis Avenue for an injured male located near the roadway. The male in his early 20’s was transported to the hospital, with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

A police presence is expected in the area in an effort to establish the whereabouts of the initial scene.

The investigation is in the infancy stage and further interviews are required.

There is no suspect information at this time.
