Hamilton Police continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding a suspicious death believed to have happened in the area of Kitty Murray Lane and Garner Road East in Ancaster early this morning.

On Wednesday, January 18, 2023 shortly before 6:30 a.m. Hamilton Police were called to the area of Kitty Murray Lane and Garner Road East in Ancaster for an individual that was located by a citizen. The victim was transported to hospital and later pronounced deceased.

Detectives were called to investigate as evidence has led them to be concerned with the circumstances surrounding the death.

Investigators are still working to identify the victim and notify next of kin.

Garner Road East between Southcote Road and Redeemer University College Road continues to be closed. Kitty Murray Lane from Emick Drive to Smith Road remains closed. Please anticipate these closures for several hours as the investigation continues.

Hamilton Police are asking anyone who may have been in the area from 4:00 a.m. to 6:30 a.m. this morning or any area residents that may have video surveillance to contact police at 905-546-2458.
