Hamilton Police Investigate Traffic Incident on York Boulevard

Hamilton Police is appealing for witnesses to come forward who were in the area of York Boulevard and Inchbury Street yesterday around 3:20 p.m. The operator of an E-Bike was injured during a traffic incident and is currently receiving medical treatment.

On Wednesday, June 12, 2019, shortly before 3:30 p.m., an E-Bike operator was travelling on York Boulevard approaching Inchbury Street when he fell from his bike and landed on the roadway. At the time, it was believed he was in the bike lane. The operator, a 44-year-old Hamilton man was transported to the hospital and remains in serious condition.

Initially, police received information that suggested the incident could possibly be a fail to remain collision. The investigation remains ongoing as police work to determine what caused the operator to lose control and leave the bike.
