Hamilton Police Seek Public Assistance with Home Invasion Investigation

Hamilton Police are asking witnesses to come forward who may have seen suspects fleeing the area of Graham Avenue North and Dunsmure Road. Shortly after midnight this morning masked suspects entered a residence on Graham Avenue and assaulted one of the residents. They fled the scene prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to hospital with minor injuries and has since been released.

On Monday, January 7, 2019, shortly after midnight, suspects entered a residence on Graham Avenue North, south of Dunsmure Avenue. While inside, they assaulted a female occupant. The suspects fled the residence prior to police arrival. The victim was transported to hospital with minor injuries to her head. A short time later she was released from hospital.

Police believe this to be a targeted offence.

A firearm was used during the incident. The injuries sustained by the victim were not as a result of a firearm discharge.

The suspects were masked during the incident and were last seen fleeing the scene on foot in dark clothing.
