Police Execute Search Warrant at Stoney Creek Residence

After receiving information about illegal drug activity in the Stoney Creek area, Hamilton Police opened an investigation. A search warrant was granted and when executed police located a substantial amount of illicit drugs and an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency. A 42-year-old Hamilton woman faces several criminal charges. 

On Tuesday, November 27, 2018, Hamilton Police Vice and Drug Unit executed a search warrant at a Stoney Creek mountain residence. 

As a result of the investigation, Melissa Syer, a 42-year-old female, from Hamilton, was arrested at the residence. She was found to be in possession of the following:

  • 170 grams of methamphetamine
  • 380 grams of fentanyl and heroin
  • 117 grams of cocaine

Police estimate the street value of the drugs seized at $157,000.00

The accused appeared in court on Wednesday, November 28, 2018, to answer to several criminal charges.

· Possession of Fentanyl for the purpose of trafficking

· Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking

• Possession of Crystal Meth for the purpose of trafficking

· Possession of Heroin for the purpose of trafficking

• Possession of Proceeds of Crime Over $5,000.00
