Hamilton Man Charged with Internet Child Exploitation Offences
The Hamilton Police Service Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit conducted an investigation into an individual distributing child pornography to other users of an online text-based chat application. The male was identified as being a resident of Hamilton and on Thursday, October 10, 2019, members of the ICE Unit, Technological Crime Unit, and uniform patrol executed a search warrant at a Hamilton residence.
A 27-year-old man was arrested, charged, and was brought before the courts. A forensic examination of the seized electronic devices is ongoing and it is possible that further charges may be filed.
