A Hamilton man in his thirties was transported to hospital after being assaulted in the area of Bay Street North and Hunter Street West. The investigation is ongoing.

On Tuesday, May 14, 2019, shortly before 11:30 p.m., Hamilton Police officers responded to reports of a disturbance in the area of Bay Street North and Hunter Street West. Once on scene, police located a male in his thirties with non-life threatening injuries. The male was transported to hospital for medical treatment and police will follow up with him once that priority has been addressed.

The investigation is the early stages and the Central Criminal Investigations Branch will be handling the matter.

Hamilton Police ask residents in the area to check their security cameras for suspicious activity.
