Hamilton Police Investigating Hamilton's 9th Homicide

Hamilton Police are investigating the City's ninth homicide after a 14-year-old Sir Winston Churchill student was stabbed outside school grounds. 

On October 7, 2019, at approximately 1:19 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to Dunsmure Road and Ivon Ave for a stabbing that had just occurred. Patrol units arrived at 1:23 p.m. and immediately offered assistance to the victim. Police searched the area and located two suspects not far from the crime scene. The individuals were arrested shortly after. A third individual was arrested later on in the afternoon. Police are still determining his involvement in the incident.

Hamilton Paramedics transported the 14-year-old victim to the Hamilton General Hospital where the victim succumbed to his injuries. The name of the victim will not be released at this time. 

Hamilton Police continue to search for the following suspects:

Suspect One

  • Light-skinned black female
  • Early teens
  • Long black hair 
  • Wearing a black coat and possibly a black t-shirt underneath with white writing on it
  • Black shoes with a white stripe and white laces

Suspect Two

  • White male
  • Early teens
  • Dark pants and a gray long-sleeved shirt
  • White shoes
  • Black backpack
