Hamilton Police respond after residents report hearing gunshots.  

On Tuesday, August 16, 2022, at approximately 2:45 a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a shooting in the area of Steven Street and Nightingale Street. 

Police can confirm a shooting incident occurred and no injuries were reported.

The scene has  been processed and the investigating is ongoing. 

Hamilton Police are asking residents in the area to review their security surveillance cameras between the hours of 2:00 a.m. to 3:00 a.m. for any suspicious activity and to contact police. Detectives are also asking anyone driving in the area at that time with dash camera footage to contact investigators.
