Hamilton Police Seek Assistance in Identifying Robbery Suspect

Hamilton Police continue to investigate a robbery at a financial institution that occurred in East End Hamilton. If you have any information about the robbery, you are asked to contact police.

On Saturday, March 5, 2022, shortly after 1:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to the area of Barton Street East and Kenilworth Avenue North for a robbery at a financial institution. 

Further investigation revealed, that a lone male suspect entered, jumped over the counter, filled a backpack with some Canadian currency and then fled on foot.

No weapons were observed and no one was injured during the incident.

SUSPECT DESCRIPTION

  • Male, between the ages of 25-40 
  • Black sweater or jacket
  • Black pants
  • Yellow and green gloves
  • Black scarf being used as a mask

The suspect’s hands and clothing may have been coloured with orange dye.

Investigators are appealing for the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in the investigation.
