Homicide Unit Investigates Death of Male

Hamilton Police are actively investigating a homicide that occurred this morning and are urging anyone with information to come forward.

Hamilton Police responded to a stabbing in the area of Park Avenue North and York Boulevard shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Monday, November 27, 2023. Upon arrival,  a male in his 50s was located with injuries. Despite being transported to the hospital, the male was later pronounced deceased.

Investigators continued to canvass witnesses, pursue leads, and search for the suspect described by witnesses as a white male in dark clothing. Shortly after 11:00 a.m. police arrested a 25-year-old male and the Hamilton Police Homicide Unit continues to investigate. It's important to note that the investigation is ongoing, and no charges have been laid at this time.

In efforts to gather more information, investigators are appealing to businesses and residents in the area to review any surveillance footage that may assist the case.

Presently, the victim's family and next of kin have not been notified, and no further details will be disclosed at this time.
