Male Charged in Downtown Homicide

Hamilton Police have charged a 25-year-old Hamilton man with Second Degree Murder following a stabbing in downtown yesterday.

On the morning of Monday, November 27, Hamilton Police responded to reports of a stabbing in the area of Park Avenue North and York Boulevard, arriving at the scene shortly after 8:30 a.m. 

Following police response to the incident,  Nathan Kanis-Lynch, a 25-year-old individual, was subsequently arrested and charged with the second-degree murder of a 52-year-old man from Hamilton. Mr. Kanis-Lynch remains in custody.

To respect the privacy of the victim and their family, no information about the deceased will be disclosed at this time.
