Passenger Arrested After Endangering Flight Safety
In a highly uncommon incident, Hamilton Police swiftly arrested a 54-year-old Hamilton man yesterday upon the arrival of an international flight at John C Munro International Airport.
On Thursday, February 15, 2024 shortly after 3:00 p.m. Hamilton Police arrested a man following a flight and he now faces charges of
· Common Nuisance - Endanger Life
· Cause Disturbance
· Assault in Aircraft in Flight
The male continued to make threats to flight staff, creating a disruptive and unsafe environment for staff and passengers. The disturbance, stemming from alcohol-related issues and a desire for a cigarette in flight, prompted multiple passengers to intervene and assist the on-flight staff.

The 54-year-old will appear in court for a bail hearing this morning.
