Police Investigate Sexual Assault near Sherwood Secondary School

Hamilton Police Service is currently investigating a sexual assault that occurred last Friday near Fennell Avenue and High Street. Witnesses are urged to contact police and residents are asked to check their surveillance cameras for suspicious activity.

On Friday, April 5, 2019, shortly before 8:00 a.m., a 15-year-old female Sherwood Secondary School student exited an HSR bus on Fennell Avenue near High Street. While walking to school a male approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks. The female turned around and was punched in the face by the male who immediately ran off.

The suspect is described as a white male, between 17-18-years-old, 6' tall, with a heavy build and wearing black clothing.
