Project Westdale Arrest

Hamilton Police Service has arrested a 32-year-old male in relation to incidents that took place in the Westdale area between August and September 2018.

During this time, Hamilton Police responded to a series of suspicious circumstances and break and enters in the Westdale area. Police continued their investigation and have linked a 32-year-old male to six incidents in the Westdale community. Police continue to investigate other incidents in the area and further charges may be pending.

Daniel Severin (32) was arrested on February 15, 2019, in Hamilton and has been charged with the following:

  • Break and Enter Commit Sexual Assault
  • Sexual Assault
  • Break and Enter Commit Voyeurism X4
  • Voyeurism X4
  • Criminal Harassment X6
  • Possession of Child Pornography
  • Accessing Child Pornography

Videos found on Severin’s electronic devices included child pornography. These charges against Severin are not associated to the Westdale occurrences.
