Hamilton Police East End Detectives continue to investigate the assault of a man that occurred on Tuesday afternoon.

Police believe the assault took place in an alley at the rear of 212 Kenilworth Avenue. The area was combed for evidence and a knife has been recovered. Through further investigation, Police will determine if the knife was involved in the incident.

The victim, a 21-year-old male of no fixed address, remains in hospital receiving treatment from a stab wound. He is not cooperating with police.

Police believe this was a targeted incident and are asking residents in the area to check their security cameras for any suspicious activity.
