UPDATE: Hamilton's 10th Homicide

Major Crime Unit investigators spent most of Saturday interviewing witnesses and tracking down the next-of-kin of the city’s 10th homicide victim. The name of the victim is not being released until extended family members have been contacted.

Members of the Forensic Services Branch processed the scene in and around 303 York Blvd while the service’s video analyst collected important video footage from the area.

A post mortem was conducted at the Hamilton General Hospital’s Forensic Pathology Unit and confirmed the victim died of a gunshot wound.

A review of the surveillance footage led to some individuals, who were present at the time of the murder, being identified and interviewed.

Investigators are looking to talk to other persons who were observed at the billiard hall. Police are releasing the following images of individuals who were present, and whom they are interested in interviewing, to determine if they have information to further the investigation.

Also of interest is the white, four-door sedan that was observed fleeing the scene. This vehicle may possibly be a rental car.

If you have any information that you believe could assist Police with the investigation into this crime you are asked to contact Detective Rich Wouters of the Major Crime Unit by calling 905-546-4921.
