Another Arrest Made in Gordon Street Shooting

Hamilton Police have arrested and charged 20-year-old Jayden Pitter in relation to the shooting of a seven-year-old boy on Gordon Street in January 2020. The firearm used in the incident remains outstanding.

On Thursday, January 23, 2020, shortly before 8:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to reports of a shooting at a residence on Gordon Street. Upon arrival, police secured the area and located an injured seven-year-old child. He was transported to the hospital and he continues to recover from his injuries.

Police believe the suspects fled the scene in a vehicle that was waiting on Gordon Street.

On Wednesday, March 11, 2020, an arrest was made in relation to the shooting.

Through continued investigation, detectives from the Major Crime Unit identified Jayden Pitter as a suspect. A warrant for his arrest was issued and on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, he was arrested and brought for the courts to answer to his charges.
