On Tuesday, July 23, 2019, Detectives from the Criminal Investigations Bureau met with the victim. The 29-year-old male from Hamilton remained uncooperative. He has been treated for minor injuries and is expected to make a full recovery.

Efforts to locate security video of the incident have met with negative results and with the lack of cooperation from the victim; police are unable to identify a suspect.

Through investigation, police have been able to establish the victim visited the Nobody's Perfect Bar and Grill where he was removed from the establishment as a result of a disturbance. The victim was then injured while outside.
