Hamilton Police have arrested a male in relation to an overnight homicide on the west mountain. The male will appear in court later today.

On Tuesday, July 30, 2019, shortly after 1:00 a.m., Hamilton Police entered into a Homicide Investigation in the area of Mohawk Road West and Magnolia Drive. Police have one person in custody.

The victim and accused are known to each other as neighbours and police believe there is no threat to the public.

The accused, a 26-year-old male from Hamilton will appear in court today. The victim’s details are not being released at this time.

The investigation continues and additional information will be made available later today.
