Hamilton Police Investigate Shooting on West Mountain

Hamilton Police are investigating after reports that gunshots were heard on Hamilton’s West Mountain.

On Thursday, October 6, 2022, shortly after 11:00p.m., Hamilton police responded to the area of Garth Street and Rymal Road West, after receiving reports of a shooting. 

Hamilton Police responded to the area and confirmed that a residence and an unoccupied vehicle parked in the driveway of the residence had been struck by gunfire. The home was occupied at the time of the shooting but fortunately no injuries were sustained.

 At this time the shooting is believed to be a targeted incident and investigators are appealing to residents of the area to check their surveillance cameras for any suspicious activity around the time of the shooting.
