Hamilton Police Recruiting Victim Services Volunteers

Hamilton Police Service is looking for Victim Service volunteers to support victims of crime and trauma.

Established in 1994, volunteers will join four fulltime staff and over 80 volunteers in the Victim Services Branch to provide emotional support, information, resources and practical assistance to victims of crime and trauma. The Victim Services Branch operates 24/7 and provides on-scene crisis intervention.

Volunteers should be community-minded citizens who are excellent listeners, as well as compassionate and empathetic. Applicants must be a minimum of 21-years-old, have a valid driver’s licence with access to a vehicle and able to contribute 32 hours of on-call availability each month.
