Hamilton Police Respond to Security Alarm at Eastgate Mall

An early morning security alarm was activated at Eastgate Mall. Entry into two stores has been confirmed as the Hamilton Police Service BEAR Unit continues to investigate.

On Friday, June 7, 2019, shortly after 5:00 a.m., Hamilton Police Service was contacted after a security alarm was activated at Eastgate Mall, located at 75 Centennial Parkway. Officers responded within four minutes and secured the exterior of the building. Over the next several hours HPS K9, patrol units and BEAR Unit Detectives searched the mall.

Through investigation, police have confirmed entries occurred at Bentley and Fine Touch Jewellers. An undisclosed amount of cash and merchandise were taken.
