Hamilton Police Searching for Vehicle in Iavarone Homicide

Hamilton Police are releasing surveillance video from the area where a 50-year-old was killed in Ancaster,

On Thursday, September 13, 2018, around 9.55 p.m. Hamilton Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of 32 Sunflower Cr, Ancaster.

When police and Hamilton Paramedics arrived, they found Albert Iavarone on the premises suffering from a gunshot injury. Efforts to save his life were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead at the scene.

Upon reviewing surveillance footage from around 32 Sunflower Crescent, an updated description of the suspect vehicle is available. While the infrared camera can distort the colour of the vehicle, it is believed to be a light coloured SUV or Crossover-type product.

 

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the vehicle in or around the Sunflower Crescent/ Lavender Drive area to call them. Police are also asking residents in the area who may have dash cameras activated on the day of the murder or within the preceding two weeks to contact them, as there may be footage relevant to the investigation.

There is no further suspect information available at this time.
