Hamilton Police Seek Sexual Assault Suspect

Hamilton Police Service is seeking the public's assistance in identifying a suspect that sexually assaulted an adult female sex trade worker. Police are asking for the public's assistance in this investigation and announcing a Safety Alert for other potential targeted victims, who are working within the sex trade.

On Thursday, August 30, 2018, at about 3:00 a.m. an adult female victim engaged an unknown male in conversation on Barton Street near Emerald Street in Hamilton.

The victim got into the man’s vehicle and drove to the area of Van Wagner’s Beach Road where she was sexually assaulted and threatened by the male. She managed to escape from his vehicle and run to a pay phone to call 911. The responding officers found her unclothed and visibly shaken in the public parking lot on Van Wagner’s Beach Road. The suspect fled in his vehicle eastbound towards Centennial Parkway.

The suspect is described as:

Male, East Indian, 27yrs, 5’6”, skinny build short black hair and a black moustache and beard, wearing a black T-shirt, beige pants, blue Nike sandals and a red baseball cap.

The vehicle is described as:

A small silver car with 4 doors
