Looking to Identify Break & Enter Suspects

Since June 24, 2018, the Hamilton Police BEAR Unit have been investigating a rash of break and enters where cigarettes are being targeted. The suspects have broken into at least ten commercial businesses by breaking or prying the front door open. Once inside they will target the cigarette display cabinets and steal large amounts of cigarette packages and cartons.

Gas stations and convenience stores between the hours of 2:00 a.m., and 5:00 a.m., seem to be the targeted businesses.

Owners of these types of businesses are encouraged to make sure their video surveillance systems are working properly and that their cigarette display cabinets are secured overnight.

Detectives are appealing to anyone that may have information or can identify someone in the phots to contact Detective Constable Darryl Oosterhoff by phone at 905-546-8936 or Detective Sergeant Emidio Evangelista at 905-546-2991.

Anyone who may wish to remain anonymous is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 or to submit anonymous tips and information online at [http://crimestoppershamilton.com] http://crimestoppershamilton.com
