Hamilton Police thank the public for their assistance in this investigation. Their involvement aided police in locating and arresting a robbery suspect.

On Tuesday April 17, 2018, shortly before 10:30a.m., Hamilton Police responded to a convenience store robbery at Eastgate Variety, located at 45 Barlake Avenue, Hamilton.

Prior to police arrival, the male suspect entered the store and demanded cigarettes from staff. He produced a knife, went behind the counter, attacked the clerk and fled with cigarettes to a neighbouring apartment building. With assistance from witnesses, police were able to locate the suspect inside an apartment.

Quong Pham, 30 years of Hamilton

Charges:

• Robbery
• Failing to comply with Probation X2
• Failing to comply with Recognizance X2
