The Hamilton Police Major Crime Unit continues to investigate a homicide that occurred in the east end of the City. Anyone with information is asked to contact police.

On Sunday, September 29, 2019, at approximately 10:00 p.m., Hamilton Police and Hamilton Paramedics Service attended a residence inside 555 Queenston Road, in response to reports of a medical incident. A male was located deceased and was determined to be a victim of a homicide.

This incident is Hamilton's 8th homicide of 2019. The investigation is in the early stages and is being led by the Major Crime Unit. The next of kin have not yet been located or notified. A post mortem will be scheduled for later today to determine the cause of death.

Detective Sergeant Steve Berezuik will be at the scene at 8:30 a.m. for media inquiries.
