Robbery Suspects Arrested After Foot Pursuits
Three youth will appear in court today to answer to criminal charges related to the street robbery of a 53-year-old male. One suspect remains outstanding.
On Tuesday, March 24, 2020, shortly after 3:30 p.m. four males approached a male who was alone on the sidewalk in the area of King Street West and Bay Street North. The male was assaulted and his cell was taken. The suspects fled on foot, as the victim and witness briefly gave chase. Police were contacted and several patrol units responded to the area. The suspects split up in an attempt to evade police. Three of the four suspects were located after foot pursuits and were taken into custody. Through continued investigation, police learned two of the males were bound by court orders and their arrest signified violations to those orders. They were advised of the additional charges.
