Stolen Vehicle Plays Havoc in the City with Multiple Gas Drive-Offs

Hamilton Police investigate a stolen vehicle and several gas thefts from various areas of the city. Two males have been arrested and now face several counts of theft.

On April 4, 2018 a grey, 2012 Audi-A4, was stolen from a residence in the area of Hyde Park Avenue in Hamilton, shortly after 8:30 p.m. For the next 13 days the stolen vehicle is involved in multiple gas thefts, refusing to stop for police and driving complaints from citizens. On April 17, 2018, the Audi was located unattended near Alpine Avenue, Hamilton.

Police continued to review video surveillance, interview witnesses and following up with leads in order to identify the suspects.

On May 19, 2018, police attended a residence in the area of East 18th Street, Hamilton and arrested two males.

  • Fail to comply with an undertaking

Justin Williams (18-years) from Hamilton

  • Possession over $5000

  • Theft Under $5000 x 8

  • Flight from Police
