Hamilton Police have arrested a 57-year-old man from Hamilton after a stabbing that sent another man to hospital overnight.

Shortly after 10:00p.m., Police received a report of a stabbing that occurred at a residence in the area of Francis Street and Douglas Avenue. Upon arrival, officers located the victim, a 31-year-old male from Hamilton, suffering from a stab wound. They were transported to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The accused was located on scene and charged with aggravated assault.
