Hamilton Police Seeking Members for New 2SLGBTQIA Advisory Committee
Hamilton Police Service is inviting community members to apply to join the Chief’s 2SLGBTQIA Advisory Committee.
The committee provides advice directly to the Chief of Police on issues affecting Hamilton’s 2SLGBTQIA communities. Members help identify community concerns, strengthen relationships, improve police services and support equitable and inclusive policing across Hamilton.
Hamilton Police is seeking applicants who are passionate about their community and committed to helping build a safer, more inclusive city.
Applications are encouraged from individuals who reflect the diversity and intersectionality of Hamilton’s communities, including Indigenous people, newcomers, members of different faiths, non-binary people, older adults, persons with disabilities and racialized individuals.
Formal committee experience is not required. Lived experience, community connection and a willingness to participate in respectful and meaningful discussions are valued.
