The Hamilton Police Service is investigating the discovery of a deceased individual in the area of Fruitland Road.

At approximately 8:15 a.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, emergency services responded to a report of an unresponsive person in a culvert near the north end of Fruitland Road. The individual was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Hamilton Police Homicide Unit has assumed responsibility for the investigation. Investigators remain on scene and are continuing to determine the circumstances surrounding the death.
