Hamilton Police are looking for wanted person, Jamie Dryden, in connection with a shooting in Hamilton on January 31, 2020. He is considered armed and dangerous. Dryden is known to be highly transient and has ties throughout the country.

On January 31, 2020, shortly before 10:00 p.m., Hamilton Police responded to a suspicious male in the area of Barton St East and Ottawa Street North. As Officers arrived, the suspect fled on foot. As Officers pursued after the suspect, he brandished a firearm and fired multiple gunshots in the direction of Officers.

Officers continued to chase after the suspect and as they caught up to him, he positioned a female between himself and the Officers to deter his arrest. He was last seen in the area of Britannia Avenue.

On February 6, 2020, Hamilton Police identified the suspect and issued a warrant for his arrest.
