Outstanding Robbery Suspect Arrested

Hamilton Police have arrested all three parties involved in the Extra Variety Store robbery from December 2019. Police would like to say thanks to the general public for their assistance in this case.

On December 31, 2019, Police responded to a robbery at the “Extra Variety Store” located at 1110 Cannon Street East in Hamilton. Three suspects entered the store and the employee was immediately stabbed multiple times and then store merchandise was stolen. The victim was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

On January 15, 2020, police executed a search warrant and located 19-year-old Alton Stenhouse-Smith inside his residence. The male was brought into custody with his bail opposed.

Charged: Alton Stenhouse-Smith (male, 19-years-old) Hamilton resident

Charges:

  • Robbery
  • Disguise with Intent
  • Assault Cause Bodily Harm
