Hamilton Police are investigating two separate incidents involving indecent acts on walking trails in Dundas.

On March 21, 2026, police were called to a section of the rail trail near Lynden Road following a report of a male committing an indecent act. The victim reported that while walking along the trail, she observed a male standing approximately 100 metres away with his pants partially lowered, masturbating while staring in her direction.

On March 25, 2026, police received a second report of a similar incident on the trail. In this case, the victim observed a male nearby engaging in the same indecent act. Officers attended the area but were unable to locate the suspect.

In both incidents, the suspect is described as a white male wearing a black hoodie and white shoes.

Residents can expect to see an increased police presence in the area as the investigation continues.

Hamilton Police are reminding the public to follow these trail safety tips:

• Stay on designated, well-maintained paths where possible
• Avoid slopes and areas near the edge of the escarpment
• Visit trails during daylight hours
• Remain aware of your surroundings
• Carry a fully charged cell phone
• Travel in pairs or groups when possible
