UPDATE: Arrest in West Hamilton Sexual Assaults

Hamilton Police have arrested a Hamilton man as a result of an investigation into three separate sexual assaults that occurred in West Hamilton.

On April 29, 2019, and July 26, 2019, lone female residents were sexually assaulted after a male who was not known to them, entered their residence and sexually assaulted them. The investigation led police to reopen a 2011 unsolved break and enter investigation where a female occupant was sexually assaulted in her residence.

During the investigation, detectives discovered multiple incidents of voyeurism where women were recorded without their knowledge. Investigators believe there may be other victims and are encouraging anyone who may have information to contact the police.

On June 16, 2020, Dennis Rhodes (40-years-old) from Hamilton was arrested and remains in custody awaiting a bail hearing on the following charges:

  • Break Enter and Commit X3
  • Sexual Assault X3
  • Forcible ConfinementX3
  • Disguised with intent X3
  • Voyeurism X3
