The Hamilton Police Service has arrested three individuals in connection with a shooting and robbery that occurred on March 3, 2024.

On March 3, 2024, two victims attended the area of Concession Road 6 East and Centre Road to sell vape pens. Upon arrival, they were robbed of their property and their motor vehicle. During the robbery, one of the suspects discharged a single round from a firearm. No injuries were reported.

The stolen vehicle was recovered a short time later in Peel Region.

Hamilton Police Shooting Response Team investigators have been actively working on this case since the incident occurred. As a result of the ongoing investigation, three individuals from Peel Region have now been arrested and charged in relation to the incident.

Two 18-year-olds and one 19-year-old are jointly charged with the following offences:

• Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
• Possession of Property Obtained by Crime (x2)
• Robbery with a Firearm (x2)
• Theft of Motor Vehicle
• Reckless Discharge of a Firearm

At the time of the incident, all three accused were youths. As a result, their identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The Hamilton Police Service takes all instances of gun violence seriously and remains committed to thoroughly investigating every shooting incident. Individuals responsible for gun-related crimes will be held accountable, regardless of how long it takes to bring charges forward.
