Hamilton Police are currently investigating a theft from a residence on Rosslyn Avenue in which a family urn was taken.

On August 21, 2026, a fire occurred at a home on Rosslyn Avenue which subsequently destroyed a neighbouring home. The neighbours were unable to continue residing in the home and had to be relocated until repairs could be completed. During that time, someone broke into the vacant home and stole jewelry, collectable items, and other valuables. Sadly, the urn holding the victim’s parent’s ashes was also taken.

Hamilton Police are hoping to reunite the victim with their loved one. Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Constable Olivia Hutchison at 905-546-2956.
